Thank You Tulsa - Networking at El Guapo's

Things continue to roll along well for the PMI Tulsa Chapter in 2008, so we're inviting you to kick back and celebrate the successes and our anticipation of good things to come with another terrific networking event for our members, prospective members, and guests.

Please join us for appetizers on the rooftop (or inside if it rains)! This social, fun‐for‐all event will be held downtown on Thursday, May 15, from 5pm to 7pm at El Guapo, 332 E 1st ST, Tulsa, 918‐382‐7482. Guests are welcome; the more, the merrier! We will provide chips & salsa, appetizers, and ice tea or pop; a cash bar will also be available.

PMI Tulsa - Annual Dinner!

Join us Tuesday, December 4th from 5:30-8:30pm at Indian Springs Country Club for our Annual PMI Dinner and Program Presentation featuring Dave Prior, Vice Chair of PMI's IT & Telecom Special Interest Group (SIG).  His topic is:  "Ten Reasons Why IT Projects Fail".  Click on the link for more details.

Thank You Tulsa! Networking and Membership Event

2007 has been a very good year for the PMI Tulsa Chapter so this November Networking event is our way to say thank you to members, prospective members, and guests.

Come join us at the Local Table, 4329 South Peoria, Brooktown Center, Tulsa, (910) 794-8013.  We will be providing appetizers and a cash bar.  We will offer ice tea for those driving and those not interested in alcoholic beverages.

KPM Symposium 2007

The 2nd Annual KPM Symposium is jointly organized by the Project Management Institute (PMI) Tulsa Chapter and The Green Country Knowledge and Information Professionals (GC-KIP) in collaboration with OU-Tulsa, the OSU-Spears School of Business, TU, and i2E.

We invite you to join us for a unique perspective on the emerging discipline of knowledge management and its integration with project management at a symposium.  It is the only one of its kind in the Midwest and happening right here in Tulsa.

The KPM Symposium brings people from academia and industry together and explore recent developments, emerging trends, and cutting edge research. Corporate executives, researchers, practitioners, project managers, end users, and system developers will be in attendance.

PMI Tulsa Golf Outing

Registration for the PMI Tulsa Golf Outing on June 23rd is now open.  This is the first golf event and the first weekend event for members in recent memory.  Registration will close on June 13 or when the limit of 40 players is reached.   The price for the golf event is $55 per player.  The event includes professional networking, golf, cart fee, driving range, food, and prize money! See the announcement for additional details.  We think this event will be a lot of fun, and we hope to make it an annual event.

Administrative notes:  A program announcement for the June member meeting (with Dennis Currington of the Tulsa Metro Chamber), will be available in approximately two weeks.There will be no regular monthly member meeting in July (due to the July 4 holiday).  The golf tournament takes the place of a July member meeting.

Full Day Seminar and Evening Event

EVENT CANCELLED Cancelled due to low registration, we have had to cancel the upcoming Seminar and evening presentation with Gopal Kapur on September 21. There will be a full refund to all paid registrants. We look forward to our next luncheon meeting that will be on Wednesday October 4.
